Where is kalimpong

Kalimpong is a famous hill station in West Bengal primarily because it used to be the gateway for trade between Britain and India during the British era. The complex is flanked by majestic hills and panoramic views. Most of the tourists come here to enjoy the natural beauty and serene environment. Located 50 km from Darjeeling, Crockety is a British cottage initially built in the pre-independence era. At some point during the early s, Crockety functioned as a trade house and acted as a hub for wool merchants from all over the world. The architectural style of the building shows a unique confluence of British motifs with traditional elements, and the cottage is surrounded by lush green, well-maintained gardens and lawns.
