At GRTS, we provide a rigorous education while preparing you for ministry. Waking up feeling purposeless is incredibly frustrating.
You look around and see your friends and coworkers living passionate, engaged, meaningful lives. They have deep relationships, rewarding jobs and a sense of direction that compels them to hop out of bed each morning with a spring in their step.
You know that God has something good in store for you. After all, the Bible is chock full of passages about joy. Before we dive into this point, we need to make at least one caveat. God is God and He works all things, including your life, according to his purposes.
Nothing can happen without God ordaining it. God has numbered your days and will fulfill every purpose He has for you. However, our choices and actions also really matter.
We can choose to do things that will bring us more joy and give us more of a sense of purpose. We want to help you identify those choices you can make to bring more excitement and God-given purpose into your life. God has created you uniquely, has really good things planned for you and one of the fruits of the Spirit is joy Galatians Sure, there will be difficult things you encounter that require patience and persistence, but overall you should have a sense of joy and excitement that fills your days, your work and your relationships.
The pursuit of joy in God is not optional. If you go about your days experiencing little fulfillment, you may be wandering from your God-given purpose. Fulfillment comes from doing rewarding, meaningful, purposeful things. From a job that taps into your skills and passions. From a relationship that involves giving and receiving.
From hobbies that are invigorating instead of mind-numbing. You know the feeling of pointless work. You go to the office, clock in, do your job, then go home and collapse in front of the television. Open your heart to Him and be willing to follow. He will lead and your reward will be great. Read the 10 Commandments. That sums it up. God bless you. Where do I find these opportunities? I think forgiving yourself starts with humility.
His intention is for all people to be with Him forever, and He is fighting, as well as the enemy. If we keep on fighting for God, of course He will win.
He can overcome the evil in the world and will call us to Himself. We just have to lay the foundation in our own lives. I believe faith is something that can grow and needs to be nurtured. He is too in charge of our lives. You will fall, and get back up Peter — I think! Just know God loves you so very much. You may find it easy to forgive someone when they ask, because they are valuable to you.
In a similar way, but much greater, God will forgive us the second we ask for His forgiveness and accept Jesus payment for our sins! Listen to Him in the breeze, the trees, and other people. He is there and will build you up. You will get stronger and stronger, and the Bible says that the devil will flee from you. These are second to our soul! Look after the poor, love your neighbour.
I struggle too. God bless you! He is everywhere and He does build us up. I know I find the most encouragement through gospel music. Now I put it on and I weep. Grateful to have Jesus and to not be doing this life without any hope even though literally every situation in my life right now seems to be under attack. My battles are already won. Life is hard. I cry and I yell. I cuss and I panic, for I am human. But, there is still a sense of peace deeeep within.
That peace that transcends understanding when we trust our Father in Heaven. Sometimes it might get hard to forgive yourself. I was blaming myself for people leaving me, blaming me for even other people wrongs. That I have stopped blaming myself, I gave everything to God He cares , I know even the bad past happened for my good and trusting God with the best that He has in store for me!
I believe in jesus and god but I dont know how to be, I feel like I am going to hell no matter what I do I have done so much evil in my Past, I cant forgive myself so how can I expect someone else to forgive me. Forgiveness comes from the Blood of Jesus and asking him to forgive us our sins. I struggled with this also but this scripture helped me…Rom. The Devil wants to enslave you and since you are free he will try to mentally enslave you by lying to you as telling you that you are too wrecked and wicked.
It is a lie crafted by the father of lies for there is no censure or criticism from God. Him who the son sets free is free indeed!
He loves you Because He loves you! Everyone was lost before were found! Look at Paul! I used to not put my whole trust on God in some of the darkest situation of my life. Our knowledge of what God does for us helps us overcome those times when our feelings are a little out of control.
I know God is leading me to the right direction and my trust is completely on him. Brian, if we just let God and know all his plans for us, we can go to that place or state he intends us to be in, in the first place. Legitimate Get Rich Quick Schemes Should I Cosign? As I was reading the Bible that Saturday, I was again struck with the frustration of not knowing what God wanted me to do.
I prayed, God, I really want to do your will. And I will do it, but first I need to know what it is. As I was praying and reading, I was struck by a simple word from the Lord. But it was frustrating on the other hand, because it was nowhere near the level of detail I desired.
God reminded me on the bench overlooking the waterfall that He had already given me many insights into His will. In fact, I was currently reading part of His will for my life. In front of me, my Bible was open to the book of Philippians.
I continued reading, but this time, the words on the page jumped out at me. I want you to have my attitude and mindset. I want your life to look like mine. God had spoken clearly about what He desired from my life. I kept reading and wrote down all the actions and commands I could implement immediately in my life, along with the corresponding Scriptures.
After a few minutes of reading and writing, I had pages of decisions and actions I knew would take a long time to implement. I was overcome with joy that God had spoken! Thank you for standing with us so faithfully in prayer. We are shoulder-to-shoulder in this harvest. The final night of the last Gospel Campaign of the year has just come to a glorious conclusion.
